<p></p><div>We are seeking to appoint a Programme Manager to support Professor Adrian Hill’s malaria vaccine research and development group at the Jenner Institute. This is an exciting opportunity to support the world class research carried out by the Hill Group. The group’s translational activity is underpinned by a strong programme of preclinical work, seeking to identify new vaccine targets, and to design and validate future generations of vaccines.</div><br>

<div>You will be responsible for undertaking the financial management of the Hill group portfolio of pre-clinical and translational grant funding including approving requisitions and financial reporting, and for carrying out the strategic management of the EU Project including management of project timelines, deliverables and budgets. You will also be responsible for reporting, facilitating agreements with consortium members, arranging meetings, and collating scientific reports. You will liaise with Professor Hill and the Departmental Grants and Finance teams in the preparation of funding applications and ensure all requirements are met by Departmental, University and funder deadlines, and you will liaise with external collaborators and funders, including managing relationships with funders, co-ordinating conference calls and meetings (including minute taking). Other responsibilities include collaborating with the HR Team to recruit staff, preparing job descriptions, adverts and recruitment order forms, as well as selecting and occasionally leading interview panels to select suitable candidates.</div><br>

<div>It is essential that you hold a degree in a relevant research subject, and have demonstrable sufficient experience in managing and coordinating complex scientific projects successfully. You will be able to support management of financial and operational resources, and to demonstrate leadership of large and complex projects, for example, with multiple stakeholders, budgets exceeding £1m, long time-frames, and regulatory complexity. It is essential you have proven relevant project management experience, skills, and knowledge, ideally related to vaccine or biomedical / translational research, and critical thinking skills, with good problem-solving, an eye for detail and an ability to work to high standards consistently.</div><br>
