as an IT Support Officer
IT Services is a key department that ensures that the University has robust,
reliable and high-performing IT facilities it requires to support the
distinctive needs of those engaged in teaching, learning, research and

**About the Role**
Join our Desktop Services Team within the Customer Services Group in IT
Services, located at our Banbury Road office
**Responsibilities will include**
* Providing 2nd level technical support to users of the Managed Desktop Service.
* Responding to IT incidents and service requests according to agreed service standards.
* Developing and writing technical documentation.
* Explaining provided services and troubleshooting issues as needed.
* Delivering support via phone and remote support tools.
* Collaborating closely with team members and Service Desk staff who provide 1st line support.
* Working across all supported departments and interacting with University staff at all levels.
**About You**
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic IT professional with a passion
for customer service.
You will:
* Be a strong advocate for excellent customer service and are passionate about delivering professional IT support.
* Be a team player who is also comfortable working independently.
* Have a strong desire to learn new IT skills.
* Provide timely, consistent, and conscientious solutions.
* Be committed to managing your tasks efficiently.
* Ensure colleagues and users are kept informed of progress.
