We can offer flexibility with hybrid working, with an expectation of 2 days minimum on-site (Tuesday and Thursday).&#160;This position is available immediately for a fixed term contract of 2 years (12-18 month internal secondment).&#160;Interviews will be held in person, on Tuesday 10 September 2024.</strong></div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to join the University of Oxford&#8217;s Medical Sciences HR Team as an HR Policy Officer and Data Analyst, where you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in strategically important projects for the Medical Sciences Division&#8217;s Research Strategy and Funding team. This newly created position encompasses a wide range of HR-related responsibilities and projects.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The Medical Sciences Division is globally recognised for its excellence in biomedical and clinical research and teaching, and this role will be instrumental in meeting the people and data requirements for the Research Excellence Framework (REF), the UK&#8217;s system for assessing research quality in higher education institutions.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You will work closely with the Research Evaluation Manager and colleagues to enhance the employment experience and opportunities for research staff, as part of our initiative to improve research culture. Additionally, you will have HR responsibility for the full employee life cycle of members of the Research, Strategy, and Funding team (currently 15 staff), making this an exciting and challenging opportunity to contribute to the university's mission. Areas of responsibility will also include Research Support, Data Analysis, and Compliance. This role will sit within and work closely with the Divisional HR Team and have a specific focus on supporting the work of the Divisional Research Strategy and Funding team.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The ideal candidate should possess significant and relevant work experience in HR, or a related field with transferrable skills. They should also demonstrate proven data analysis and Excel skills and be comfortable working with large and complex datasets. Proficiency in IT and MS Office packages is required. Effective communication, both written and verbal, and the ability to build positive and trusting relationships with individuals at all levels are crucial.
