<div><strong>About the Role</strong></div><br>
<div> </div><br>
<div>Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:</div><br>
<ul><br>
<li><strong>Donation Accounting:</strong> Manage DARS designation setup with correct accounting. Preparation and reconciliation of University of Oxford Development Trust (OUDT) undistibuted donations ensuring donations are distributed at the earliest opportunity. The distribution by journal of non-revenue donations and the accrual of legal pledges. The recognition of donation income in OUDT.</li><br>
<li><strong>Tax:</strong> The provision of data on donation’s to the University Tax for the OUDT and US tax returns.</li><br>
<li><strong>Subsidiary Accounting:</strong> Accounting for Oxford University Development North America.</li><br>
<li><strong>Financial Administration:</strong>  The checking and approval of Development and Alumni Relations (DAE) expense and credit card claims.</li><br>

<div>You will be based in Oxford, but you may be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager. From time to time you may be required to work from other offices across Oxford.</div><br>

<div><strong>About You</strong></div><br>
<div>You will be educated to degree level or have equivalent work experience, be a part-qualified accountant (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA).</div><br>
<div> </div><br>
<div>You should have strong financial accounting experience, preferably gained in higher education, with experience of balance sheet reconciliation. You will have intermediate excel skills and be able to manipulate and analyse large data sets.  You will be able to organise your own workload and work to deadlines with high degree of attention to detail. You will be able to draw on experience of analysing and interpreting complex agreements to assign the appropriate accounting treatment.</div><br>

<div>You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You will be able to communicate complex matters to others at all levels and be able to engage collaboratively with colleagues in Gift Registry and across the University. You will be able to use your influencing skills to bring complex matters to a close.</div><br>
