The Innovation and Engagement Team in Research Services provides support for
activities such as IP management and commercialisation; enterprise and
entrepreneurship; public and community engagement with research; and
engagement with businesses, society and regional economic development
organisations. The team leads the delivery of the University’s Knowledge
Exchange Strategy and supports Oxford’s innovation ecosystem.



**This is a fixed term contract but secondment opportunities would be

**About the Role**





You will lead the Regional Engagement and Knowledge Exchange function (7
people) within the I&E Team to provide support for a wide variety of
initiatives designed to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between the
University’s researchers, government, community organisations and businesses
of all sizes. In this diverse and interesting role you will be liaising with
academics, policy makers, research funders and businesses, and play a key part
in showcasing the impact of Oxford’s world-leading research to a breadth of
audiences.



Major pieces of work you will oversee within the timeframe include the refresh
of the University’s Knowledge Exchange Strategy and submission of our Higher
Education Business and Community Interaction return; using the results of our
recent Economic Impact report and working with regional stakeholders to tell
the story of the Oxfordshire innovation ecosystem; exploring the options for
an Oxford Living Lab. In addition you will directly support the Director of
Innovation and Engagement and the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Innovation) on
strategic projects including establishing a regional taskforce and the Vice-
Chancellor's Awards.



This is an outstanding opportunity for someone interested in developing a

range of diverse initiatives and activities.





**About You**





We are seeking a person who will bring to this role drive and initiative,
excellent communication and project management skills, experience in
organising events, the ability to work on a wide range of tasks and projects
at the same time and the capacity to build collaborative partnerships.





You will need to be able to pick up the remit of the REKE team quickly and
have effective staff management skills to support colleagues’ welfare,
induction, training and professional development and enable them to succeed as
they deliver support for knowledge exchange and regional engagement
activities.
