The Legal Services Office provides legal and trade mark services to the
University Administration; to the Proctors’ Office; to departments and
faculties; to the Bodleian and the Ashmolean; to colleges that do not have
separate corporate identity and to certain of the University’s subsidiary
companies. The department comprises 27 members of staff, including five
administrative team members, who are based in two separate locations. The work

**About the Role**





The Office Manager/EA to the Director is a key member of this team,
responsible for the efficient day-to-day running of the department, including
overseeing all finance and HR-related activities, line-managing the
administrative staff across the two locations, and providing professional and
proactive executive support to the Director of Legal Services and General
Counsel. The post-holder will be able to prioritise in such a way that the
business of the department is carried out in an appropriate and efficient
manner.





**About You**





The post-holder will be a key interface with a range of internal contacts, in
particular with those in the offices of senior members of the University and
will be a first point of contact for enquiries coming in to the department.
They will build strong working relationships with colleagues internally at the
University and at external organisations, including law firms and legal
recruitment agencies.





The post will suit an experienced and flexible office manager or senior
administrator who is keen to develop and improve administrative processes,
maintain a strong team ethic and to expand their understanding of the critical
work undertaken by the Legal Services team.
