**About the role**
The Department of Politics & International Relations (DPIR) is seeking to
appoint a Postdoctoral Researcher to work closely with the lead researcher,
consultants, and research assistants on the project titled “Character-based
Leadership Development Among University Students in Low- and Middle-Income
Countries (LMICs).” The primary focus of this role is to contribute to
research on character-based leadership development in LMIC universities,
including collecting and analysing data, writing, and disseminating findings.
The post holder will play a key role in managing specific research tasks and
providing guidance to project consultants and research assistants.
As Postdoctoral Researcher, you will independently manage research activities,
including coordinating data collection efforts and other project tasks, as
well as design and implement data collection strategies, including surveys and
interviews and also analyse qualitative and quantitative data using
appropriate statistical and analytical tools.
In addition, you will be a source of guidance and support to project
consultants and research assistants.
**About you**
The successful candidate will be holding or be close to completing a relevant
PhD/DPhil in humanities or social sciences and have familiarity with
qualitative and quantitative research methods, including data gathering,
statistical analysis, and data visualisation. You will also have strong
written and oral communication skills and experience contributing to academic
publications and presenting research findings.
This is a fixed-term and part-time position (0.3 FTE) available for 7 months.
