Project Coordinator

We are seeking to appoint a Project Coordinator to support the exciting work
of the Douglas Group in the development of vaccines and monoclonal antibodies
against infectious disease threats.
You will be managing two programmes in collaboration with senior members or
the research team and administrative staff, to ensure the objectives are met
within deadlines and the work is conducted within the University standards and
the funder’s terms and conditions. You will monitor research work by project
members, to ensure delivery on time and on budget, and to identify potential
issues as early as possible, and liaise with local administration to monitor
budgets and expenditure according to University policies and the terms and
conditions of the funders. Other duties include assisting the HR team in the
preparation of recruitment exercises following University and NDM recruitment
policies, and assisting the Research Services team in preparation of contracts
and agreements.
It is essential that you are educated to undergraduate degree level in a
relevant area of science, finance or management studies, or have equivalent
experience. You will have experience of finance, grants and/or scientific
project management, and excellent attention to detail. Experience in one or
more of the following is essential; scientific programmes, clinical trials,
grants and financial systems and reporting, contracts and research agreements
or university administration systems. Experience of working in a higher
education institute would be desirable.
