<p></p><div>We are seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Experimental and Clinical Sleep Medicine group within the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences and the Sir Jules Thorn Sleep & Circadian Neuroscience Institute (SCNi). We conduct human experimental and clinical studies on sleep and disorders of sleep with the aim of understanding their pathophysiology and treatment.</div><br>
<div>The ideal candidate will be a sleep or circadian scientist with an interest in mental health. They will have experience of running experimental sleep studies. The post-holder will support the set-up and day-to-day running of clinical trials designed to appraise efficacy and mechanisms of sleep interventions. Principal duties include participant recruitment, conducting eligibility and outcome assessments, and supporting data analysis. The role will provide opportunity for career and skills development. The post-holder will have dedicated time to undertake training (including spending time in different lab groups), develop their skills, and explore career progression, including opportunity to teach through the Oxford Online Programme in Sleep Medicine.</div><br>

<div>Responsibilities include:</div><br>
<ul><br>
<li>Support participant recruitment and assessment</li><br>
<li>Create and implement standardised protocols for the analysis of sleep, circadian, and mental health-related data</li><br>
<li>Publish and present research results to the international scientific community</li><br>
<li>Attend and present work at meetings with collaborators</li><br>
<li>Support the planning, set-up, and running of sleep-lab studies taking place in the group</li><br>
<li>In the context of work above and resources available, and with the support of the laboratory supervisor, prepare for appropriate career advancement</li><br>
<li>Support patient and public involvement (PPI) activities as part of the research programme</li><br>
<li>Supervise junior members of the team</li><br>
<li>Undertake other duties in the department from time to time as determined commensurate with the grade and responsibilities of this post, and any other reasonable request</li><br>
</ul><br>
<div>It is essential for that the post-holder holds a PhD in neuroscience, psychology, or related area and have experience of performing and scoring human sleep EEG recordings. It is desirable for the post-holder to have  research experience on the link between sleep and mental health and experience of intervention studies.</div><br>

<div><strong>This post is full time and fixed term until 28th February 2027 with the possibility of extension. </strong></div><br>
