Head of Electronic Resources Metadata and Content Procurement

**About the role**
We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Head of Electronic
Resources Metadata and Content Procurement to become part of our team at the
Bodleian Libraries within the Collections and Resource Description (C&RD)
department.
Within C&RD you will be responsible for metadata and procurement of e-books,
e-journals and other electronic resources and overseeing the completion of
financial reporting related to expenditures. You will complete the
implementation of the Electronic Resources functionality of Alma and work with
multiple stakeholders including subject librarians, reader services staff,
BDLSS staff and other colleagues throughout Collections Management to
streamline and modernize processes. The work includes leading on analysing and
streamlining current practices for the entire electronic resource life cycle.
This is a full-time fixed-term post for 30 months, working 37.5 hours per
week.
**About you**
You will have a recognized qualification in library or information studies or
equivalent experience.
You will have experience of using a range of systems and technologies for
supporting procurement and access including a good working knowledge of Alma
modules and especially the ERM portions of the system.
You will be experienced at mapping, evaluating, auditing and revising
workflows and possess the proven ability to work accurately and methodically
under pressure with meticulous attention to detail.
You will have a flexible and creative approach to rapidly changing work and
technology and have excellent communication skills.
