The project involves the synthesis and investigation of &#960;-conjugated porphyrin-based molecular wires and nanorings, particularly molecular wires incorporating several paramagnetic metal centres.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div><em>Find out more about the research group at:</em> &#160;<a rel="nofollow" href="http://hla.chem.ox.ac.uk/">http://hla.chem.ox.ac.uk/</a>.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Applicants must hold a PhD in Chemistry (or be close to completion) prior to taking up your appointment.&#160; The research requires experience in multi-step organic synthesis, particularly the synthesis of high molecular weight molecular redox-active &#960;-systems. You will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative activities.
