<div><em>Digital Scholarship at Oxford</em> is recruiting three <strong>Senior Research Software Engineers</strong> (RSEs) to its team and is particularly seeking engineers with experience in any of the fields of <em>artificial intelligence and machine learning</em>, <em>textual scholarship</em>, or <em>data and infrastructure</em>.</div><br>

<div>As part of the Digital Scholarship at Oxford (DiSc) team, which includes a small group of specialist RSEs, the successful applicants will support the digital scholarship within the University, participate in the research software development community, and engage with researchers to help to realise the potential of their research and the University’s collections through generating innovative and impactful digital outputs. They will have opportunities to engage with the University’s wider digital scholarship community and to contribute to a range of activities and initiatives, such as the <em>Research Software Development Network</em>, the <em>Digital Humanities @Oxford Summer School</em> and the MSc in Digital Scholarship.</div><br>

<div>The DiSc initiative is based in the Humanities Division and Bodleian Libraries, and the post-holders will have the opportunity to work in varied spaces around the University, including the Radcliffe Humanities Building and the Centre for Digital Scholarship at the Weston Library, as well as flexibility for mainly remote working subject to discussion.</div><br>

<div><strong>About you</strong> </div><br>
<div>You will hold a PhD/DPhil with a significant software engineering component, with post-qualification research and software engineering experience, or substantial experience of software development in a research environment, and have the ability to design, implement and deploy a complex software engineering project while applying software engineering best practices and using common software architecture paradigms.</div><br>
<div> </div><br>
<div>You will also have experience in working with data engineering, databases, data modelling, or a cognate field, and working in and contributing significantly to a software project team.</div><br>
