Do you have skills and experience in modern web development frameworks and data visualisation libraries?</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>We have a rare chance to join the NDM Data Platform Team as a Front End Engineer. You will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of user interfaces using the MDV framework as part of the Cartography Atlas Viewer and Explorer Project (CAVE).</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The Johnson &amp; Johnson-Oxford Cartography Consortium is embarking on an ambitious two-year project aimed at revolutionising the accessibility and usability of the Cartography Atlas data through the creation of the Cartography Atlas Viewer and Explorer (CAVE). You will be an important part of the team, developing CAVe and ensuring it supports diverse data formats and integrates seamlessly with other tools and systems used by Johnson &amp; Johnson and Oxford researchers.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You will implement support for various omics data formats and integrate them into CAVE. You will collaborate with focus groups to gather feedback and refine the user interface and experience, and develop and integrate Python and R APIs for enhanced functionality and interoperability.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>It is essential that you hold a Master&#8217;s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related computational field, with experience developing user interfaces and UX Design, and strong proficiency in JavaScript, including ES6+ syntax. You will be familiar with HTML5 and CSS3, including responsive design and accessibility best practices, and you will have experience with modern web development frameworks, such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Applications for this vacancy are to be made online and you will be required to upload a supporting statement and CV as part of your online application.
