The Pitt Rivers Museum is seeking to appoint a Curatorial Assistant to work as
part of our busy Collections team.





The Curatorial Assistant will work across all collections areas, including
objects, photographs, manuscripts, sound and film. You will be required to
perform a range of curatorial/collections management tasks, such as object
movement and handling, numbering, cataloguing, and packaging, as well as
providing general support to the team. You will report to the Head of Object
Collections. You will be required to work at the main Museum site as well as
at the Museum’s offsite stores. The position is not suitable for home working.
Due to the grade of the post the University is not in a position to sponsor a
work visa for this post and only candidates with an existing right to work in
the UK will be considered eligible.
