Oxford Population Health (the Nuffield Department of Population Health)
provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching
and for professional and support staff. We work together to answer some of the
most important questions about the causes, prevention and treatment of
disease.
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher who will be working in the Complex
Trait Genomics Group, reporting to Professor Peter Visscher. You will develop
and conduct projects to better understand human trait variation, preparing
publications, presenting at conferences and developing ideas for generating
research income.
To be considered, you must hold (or be close to completion of) a PhD/DPhil in
a relevant field e.g., statistical genetics, quantitative genetics,
epidemiology, bioinformatics, computer science, statistics, econometrics or
other relevant areas. You will have knowledge and expertise in the principles
of genetics and genomics, strong proficiency in R (or a similar statistical
package) and excellent communication skills.
This post is full time (part time considered) and fixed term for 2 years.
