The Faculty of Law and Jesus College are seeking applications for the
Professorship of Corporate Law, with effect from 1 October 2025 or as soon as
possible thereafter.





The Professor of Corporate Law will provide leadership in teaching and
research at the highest level in the law governing business associations. We
welcome applications from candidates who specialise in particular areas, such
as corporate governance, corporate finance law, corporate insolvency law, the
regulation of financial markets, corporate law and business purpose, and the
regulation of business associations. Comparative and interdisciplinary
interests will be an advantage, as will expertise in allied areas of English
law.





You will be expected to contribute to the leadership of the Faculty’s academic
community (in particular the Business Law Research Group), to develop research
strategy, and to deliver and develop innovative teaching curricula. You will
have an important role in nurturing the intellectual climate of legal studies,
and will be expected to provide support and mentorship to more junior
colleagues and academic visitors.





You should have an outstanding record of internationally recognised
scholarship and an excellent publication record indicating the potential to
produce further significant work during the tenure of the chair. In addition
to excellence in your own research, teaching and supervision, you should have
the intellectual leadership skills to be able to support colleagues to foster
outstanding research and teaching in Corporate Law at all levels.

2025**. Interviews are expected to be held in March or April 2025.
