Biomedical Research Laboratory Technician

**About the role**
We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Laboratory Technician to join
Oxford Cancer, a city-wide research initiative and partnership between Oxford
University, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, Thames Valley Cancer
Alliance, and the Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group. This post will
form part of the INTEGRATOR Research Tissue Bank that supports clinical trials
and laboratory-based research by receiving and processing clinical samples.
The post holder will be responsible for delivering a range of sample
collection, processing (including blood sample preparation, biopsy processing,
and molecular techniques), analysis, storage, and distribution tasks. Aspects
of this work are associated with patient stratification and primary clinical
end points, so will require to be delivered according to Good Clinical
Practice.
This post is based at Oxford Cancer, Churchill Hospital, OX3 7LE and is
offered on a full-time fixed-term basis until 31st March 2027.
**About you**
You will have experience with the techniques and methods listed in the
Responsibilities section of the job description. You will have proven
experience be working to GCP standards and in a
clinical/molecular/biochemistry laboratory. You will have proven ability to
prioritise, plan and manage a high volume of work to meet deadlines, both
prescribed and self-imposed, and ensure that the laboratory runs in an
efficient and timely manner. You will be able to work under pressure while
maintaining a high degree of accuracy. Experience in using digital Quality
Management and Laboratory Management systems will be advantageous.
