<div><strong>About the Role</strong>  </div><br>
<div>As a Facilities Support Assistant, you will be at the heart of our mission to support world-class education and research. Your contributions will directly enhance the daily experiences of our university community.</div><br>
<div> </div><br>
<div>Your role includes front-of-house services, building safety checks, event setup, hospitality preparation, basic DIY maintenance and supporting staff, students, and visitors with general queries.</div><br>
<div> </div><br>
<div>This hands-on role offers training in first aid, fire safety, and IT/AV support, giving you valuable experience in facilities management. Working as part of a supportive team, you'll develop practical skills while contributing to the daily operations of key University spaces.</div><br>
<div> </div><br>
<div><strong>About You</strong>  </div><br>
<ul><br>
<li>Acceptable IT skills (confident with Outlook E-mail and tablet applications) </li><br>
<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><br>
<li>Strong interpersonal and customer service skills</li><br>
<li>Confidence in carrying out practical tasks, including manual handling, basic DIY tasks and basic building checks (training will be provided)</li><br>
<li>Good communication skills, with a polite and professional approach to interacting with a wide range of people.</li><br>
<li>Reliable, and able to manage changing priorities in a busy environment.</li><br>
<li>This role does involve the handling and serving of alcoholic beverages for events.</li><br>
</ul><br>
<div><strong>Sponsorship and Right to Work</strong> </div><br>
<div>This role does not meet the criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa under the UK Visa & Immigration points-based system. We are therefore unable to offer sponsorship for this role.   </div><br>
