<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div>We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to join our dedicated, professional and friendly Facilities team based at the Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics within the Nuffield Department of Medicine. This is a unique opportunity to develop the facilities and building operations within a growing and world-leading clinical research department.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics is a large and diverse research environment, comprising of several clinical research laboratories and facilities as well as various office spaces. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a first class facilities and working environment to enable to building occupants to carry out their research activities effectively. This is a varied and demanding role and you will need to maintain knowledge and understanding of the building operation and that of the groups within it. You will work closely with the Head of Facilities and Capital Projects, as well as with a wide range of colleagues, including the central Estates team, other University departments and external agencies, initiating and contributing to beneficial site-wide activities and facilities projects.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrable and significant experience of building and facilities management at a senior level, including experience of project management in a scientific environment, as well as an understanding of engineering infrastructure in scientific facilities. You will come armed with effective communication and leadership skills, and will have the ability to recognise and respond to the diverse needs of research groups. You will need to have strong IT skills as well as being analytically minded with excellent problem solving skills.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The Nuffield Department of Medicine is friendly, welcoming and keen to engage with the many challenges and opportunities that arise in our world-leading, internationally recognised department.
