<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div>We are looking to appoint a postdoctoral researcher to join the NIHR Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centre team (BRC).&#160; You will report to Professor Michael Browning (sub theme lead for computational psychiatry) and will be supporting the development of translational research activity using computational modelling approaches.&#160; The post is full time however consideration would be given to candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 80% FTE) on a pro-rata basis.&#160; The post is based in Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The post is for a fixed term (funded for 3 years)</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The initial focus will be on the development of novel measures relevant to the assessment and treatment of psychiatric disorders. Key methods include modelling of behavioural, cognitive and physiological processes, using data collected from both patient and non-clinical human populations.&#160;&#160; You will support the translation of pre-clinical computational measures and their collection in clinical populations and serve as first port of call for researchers and clinicians seeking advice about computational analysis across the BRC.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You will have or be close to the completion of a of a PhD in clinical or cognitive neuroscience, psychology or related discipline, along with experience in the use of computational modelling approaches to address questions of clinical interest.&#160;&#160; With experience of coding and data analysis, you will have the ability to develop and code new psychological paradigms including online cognitive tasks.&#160;&#160; Experience of experimental medicine studies (particularly mental health), and of collecting and analysing neuroimaging data (fMRI. MEG etc) would be desirable.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You will be required to upload a supporting statement, a CV, and details of two referees as part of your online application.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The closing date for this post is 12.00 midday on 6th October 2023</div> </div>
