<p></p><div>We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Immuno-Oncology, to work on a project to identify the antigen processing pathway for virus peptides presented by the non-classical HLA-E molecule to T cell receptors. Based at the Nuffield Department of Medicine, Old Road Campus, you will join the group of Professor Andrew McMichael, investigating the use CRISPR-Cas9 screening to identify the key elements of this antigen processing pathway.</div><br>

<div>You will be responsible for managing your own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines. You will be able to work independently in a laboratory setting, and test hypotheses and analyse scientific data from a variety of sources, reviewing and refining working hypotheses as appropriate. You will be responsible for presenting, analysing and discussing data and ideas at regular meetings with supervisors, and keeping detailed record keeping and data analysis.</div><br>

<div>It is essential that you hold a PhD/DPhil (or close to completion) in molecular and cellular immunology, and have experience and knowledge of T cell immunology, antigen processing and T cell receptors. You will have experience in basic molecular biology techniques, and cell biology techniques including RUSH (retention using selective hooks) and CRISPR-Cas9 technology. You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and you will have experience in decision-making, problem-solving, planning, and prioritising. Previous experience in CL3 is highly desirable.</div><br>
