<div>We are seeking a highly motivated and seasoned Scientific Lead for Programme A to join the Ineos Oxford institute for Antimicrobial Research. The Scientific Lead will be responsible for delivering the drug-discovery component for animal health. The successful candidate will be based in the newly formed Biology department but will work closely with synthetic chemists based at CRL, Dept of Chemistry. Day to day supervision of PDRAs and PhD students will also be part of your duties.  You will ensure that the compound screening pipeline is fully operational, and that chemical hits, leads and candidates are fully analysed including microbiology through to in-vivo toxicity and efficacy studies. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing summary documents and giving presentations, and be fully aware of activities across the WHO, FAO and WHOA concerning animal health and antimicrobial usage.</div><br>

<div>Reporting to IOI Director of Biology, the Scientific Lead acts as the day-day Intellectual and logistical lead of Programme A. You will set clear task objectives, develop productive working relations and line-manage the other members of the team, contributing to their development through induction, appraisal, and coaching and education.</div><br>

<div>The post holder is expected to foster a culture of “one-team” approach in achieving research and project delivery excellence, professional standards, compliance with statutory, regulatory and legislative compliance, as well as providing good laboratory practice and guidance.</div><br>
