Part-time Project Manager – MND Translational Accelerator

We are looking to appoint a project manager to provide a key role in
supporting the set-up and delivery of a Motor Neurone Disease Translational
Accelerator (MNDAcc) research project that will accelerate the development of
treatments for Motor Neurone Disease (MND). The post is part-time (50% FTE)
and is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.
The post is for a fixed term (until 31 August 2026)
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, DPUK, you will provide support to an
executive team based in different organisations and locations along with a
scientific steering group of international experts. In this wide-ranging role,
you will develop and manage a Request for Proposal process, organise and
assist in the running of webinars for researchers and be the point of contact
for proposal enquiries and process management.
You will be educated to degree level of equivalent and have experience of
managing projects across multiple locations and organisations. Excellent
administrative, organisational and communications skills are essential as is
being able deal with a wide range of people at all levels both in and outside
of the university. Along with a demonstrable ability to analyse, interpret and
present detailed data (numerical and text), working with accuracy and
attention to detail, you should be able to use your initiative to deal
proactively with a wide range of tasks. Experience of managing research
projects and working in higher education would be desirable.
