The Nature-based Solutions Initiative (NbSI) in the Department of Biology is
seeking a Research Assistant and Programme Coordinator who will work closely
with the NbSI team to support a range of ongoing research and outreach
project. Based in person with our Oxford team, the post holder will assist
both the Programme Coordinator and Communications and Outreach Officer with a
variety of tasks.
In particular, the postholder will assist collating evidence and writing
summaries for NbSI’s Global Map of nature-based solutions best practice case
studies, found here: https://casestudies.naturebasedsolutionsinitiative.org/.
The postholder will also support communications and outreach events, including
the Nature-based Solutions Conference, taking place in June 2024, and its
executive education course.
The candidate must have a science background, with strong writing and
organisational skills, a demonstrable understanding of the production and
consolidation of scientific evidence. Capacity to work flexibly and complete
tasks at short notice is essential.
