**Employee Relations Specialist**
**Location:** Hybrid working pattern Remote/Office Based
Human Resources (HR) is a trusted partner at the University, providing a broad
range of specialist HR services across academic and professional departments.
We are looking for experienced and proactive Employee Relations Specialists to
join our team providing quality HR advice and support across our academic and
professional services divisions.

**About the Role**
You will join a supportive team of experienced ER professionals and you will
be responsible for a wide range of HR matters, with a strong focus on employee
relations and the management of complex casework. Delivering pragmatic
solutions and supporting departmental managers through the University
procedures and employment legislation are key requirements. You will have the
opportunity to work on HR related projects and support training initiatives.
**About You**
You will be a confident and capable HR professional, with a pro-active
approach and proven experience of providing quality HR advice and support in a
highly devolved and unionised environment.
You will need to demonstrate experience of managing difficult cases to
successful outcomes, and the ability to identify creative solutions to complex
HR issues.
You will also be adept at developing strong working relationships across all
levels of seniority and be able to demonstrate sound judgement underpinned by
your knowledge of employment law and good practice.
Having experience of working in the HE sector would be an advantage but is not
essential.
A recognised HR qualification or equivalent would be beneficial.
We have a variety of a full/part- time, fixed term/permanent positions. We
will also consider an internal secondment for a minimum of 12 months for
internal applicant’s candidates wishing to gain valuable employee relations
experience in the University HR team.

80% FTE) and whether you would prefer permanent or fixed-term.
