Research Assistant

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div>Dr Katerina Tertytchnaya is seeking to appoint one part-time researcher at 10% FTE (3.75 hours per week)&#160;to work on the research project &#8216;Nonviolent Repression in Electoral Autocracies&#8217;.&#160; The project, currently in its third year, is funded by the UKRI Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). The successful candidate will work under the line management of the PI to support the research activities of the project that include but are not limited to the design, administration, and analysis of public opinion surveys in Russia and the presentation and production of academic journal articles and policy outputs.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>As a career development post, this position includes a dedicated budget for international conference attendance and research training.&#160; Current team members, have attended the European Political Science Association (EPSA) meeting and received quantitative training as part of the Essex Summer School in Quantitative methods.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The project is based at the Department of Politics and International Relations, at the University of Oxford, a research department in the Social Sciences Division.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>DPIR operates a flexible working arrangement, and you may be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with the PI, should you request it. DPIR aims to actively promote the implementation of the University&#8217;s family-friendly policies to help foster a family friendly working environment, including provision of family leave (such as policies for maternity, paternity, parental, carers and adoption leave), flexible/part-time working and scheduling inclusive meetings.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div><strong>About you</strong></div><br> <div>The successful candidate will have advanced quantitative analysis skills and demonstrable research interest in comparative politics.
