<div>Student Registry is seeking to recruit a Senior Assessment Supervisor to provide administrative and operational support within the Student Assessments section. The section undertakes all elements of assessment planning, such as exam timetabling, invigilation planning, exam paper management, and implementation of exam adjustments. It also manages research and taught degree submissions throughout the year.</div><br>

<div>The Senior Assessment Supervisor has responsibility for overseeing day-to-day activities of key operational areas within Student Assessments, and line managing up to three other members of staff.</div><br>

<div><strong>About the Role</strong></div><br>
<div>The Senior Assessment Supervisor will take the lead on one of the operational areas of examination planning, while providing support and supervision to other members of the team. They will also play a leading role in planning and delivery of communications for the section. This includes planning, coordinating and delivering of a range of events and online information to students and staff, to provide guidance on policy, systems and processes.  Process review will also be an important part of the role, enabling the section to provide an effective and efficient service for the University.</div><br>

<div><strong>About You</strong></div><br>
<div>The successful candidate will have experience of working in a fast-paced environment, with a wide range of stakeholders. The role requires the ability to manage defined processes, and to apply precedents to non-standard scenarios. Problem-solving and sound judgement are important attributes that the appointee will need to utilise. Competing deadlines will arise, and the successful candidate will need to manage their workload effectively.</div><br>

<div>It is important for the successful candidate to have strong communication skills, with the ability to take in, synthesise, and disseminate information to a wider audience. These skills will be complemented by an ability to review how things are done, identify gaps, and suggest solutions.</div><br>

<div>Experience of line management or staff supervision would be a significant advantage.</div><br>
