<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div>We are seeking to appoint a promising Teaching Coordinator to help support the MSc in Modelling for Global Health at The Nuffield Department of Medicine. Our vision is to train a new generation of modellers with cutting edge multi-disciplinary skills to support developing global health systems at sub-national, national and international levels.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The course will act as a pipeline for talented individuals to enter multiple sectors with an unparalleled combination of quantitative skills built around a global health impact paradigm. You will play a key role in developing and teaching course material related to A-level maths and basic/advanced mathematical infectious disease modelling. You will support students to develop required familiarity and fluency in maths and mathematical modelling, through teaching, materials and practical sessions.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and facilitating the mathematics and infectious disease modelling training elements for the MSc Modelling for Global Health. You will lecture, tutor and supervise postgraduate students and also the first contact for student matters relating to coursework and performance. You will participate in the MGH admissions process and in the gathering and analysis of feedback from students, colleagues, and examiners. You will also be responsible for leading/coordinating all the formative technical practical sessions related to mathematics and infectious disease modelling.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Reviewing and implementing all elements of the MSc proposal document referring to mathematics and infectious disease modelling training (formal modules and drop-in sessions), online teaching materials, formative and summative assessments.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>It is essential that you hold a relevant PhD/DPhil (or close to completion) in a topic related to global health modelling. You will have experience with developing and delivering teaching and online teaching. A publication record of working with interdisciplinary research, an interest in modelling for global health is essential. You will also have the ability to work independently to achieve agreed goals and to encourage and develop productive collaborations.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Applications for this vacancy are to be made online and you will be required to upload a supporting statement and CV as part of your online application.
