<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div>The Department of Education is seeking to appoint an outstanding Finance Officer to join our dynamic team.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The Finance Officer&#8217;s primary focus will be to support the Department and Principal Investigators with the management and reporting of awarded projects.</div><br> <div>The post-holder will be part of the Finance team, working collaboratively with the research team, Principal Investigators, Central University teams and contacts in external organisations, to monitor the progress of research projects throughout their life cycle and to ensure that they are run in an effective and compliant manner.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>In order to succeed in this role, strong written and oral communication skills are essential, as is the ability to plan and manage multiple priorities and demands and develop sound knowledge of key funder&#8217;s criteria. The post holder must have excellent general IT skills including a sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You should be educated to degree level or have an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training. You will have proven knowledge of financial management systems and costing systems, such as X5 or another budgeting or costing tool, Oracle or other financial software.
