Postdoctoral Immunologist- T cell Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven individual to
join the Emerging Pathogens team under the direction of Professor Teresa
Lambe. The postholder will also be part of the Oxford Vaccine Group which is a
multi-disciplinary team working across all aspects of vaccine research – this
group led the rapid clinical development of vaccines against COVID-19 in the
pandemic.
The Emerging Pathogens team designs new vaccines and progresses them from
bench to bedside. The successful candidate will be an an enthusiastic
postdoctoral scientist who will will play a key role in the Emerging Pathogens
Vaccine Group’s on-going work describing immunity post-vaccination and
following infection, with a particular focus on mechanistic understanding of
correlates of protection. The postholder should have a relevant PhD (or near
completion) and a keen interest in immunology of infectious diseases. You will
be able to design, plan, execute, analyse and present data from wet laboratory
immunology experiments using human tissue and be proficient in techniques such
as ELISA, ELISpot, multiparameter flow cytometry, ICS, AIM assays and also
ideally single cell/bulk/spatial transcriptomic experiments.
You must have a high degree of ambition and self-motivation and happy to work
in a multi-functional team while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
This position is offered full-time on a fixed-term contract until 31 December
2025 with the possibility to extend provided further external funding is
available.
This role meets the criteria for a UK Skilled Worker visa.
