<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div><strong>About the Role</strong></div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>We are looking for a Senior Clinical Trial Manager to join the Oxford Respiratory Trials Unit, Oxford Centre for Respiratory Medicine, Churchill Hospital, Oxford. The Oxford Respiratory Trials Unit is a specialist centre for the management and delivery of respiratory trials. The post-holder will take responsibility for the Trial Management team, and contribute to overall Unit management and strategy. You will be a key member of ORTUs Management Team and interact closely with investigators and researchers.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You will be working as an integral member of the CTU Management team, setting and adhering to standard CTU processes, being a flexible proactive team member to deliver the Units strategy and ensure its smooth running, under the direction of the Director and Head of Operations.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>In this post you will undertake all key tasks within the clinical trial lifecycle and supervise other team members in carrying out these tasks. This will include preparation of all &#8216;essential documents&#8217;, submission of applications for approvals, recruiting research sites, making calls to patients and monitoring the conduct of the trials from setup to analysis. You will also have the opportunity to travel to research sites and scientific meetings to share information about your trials and deliver training to research sites when needed. You will contribute to the academic output of the department by working collaboratively with researchers, helping to secure funding, presenting work at scientific conferences and publication in scientific journals.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div><strong>About You</strong></div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Applicants should be educated to degree level in a relevant subject or have extensive trial management experience that is considered equivalent. Having extensive experience of working in a Clinical Trials Unit, successfully having oversight of a large portfolio of clinical trials at one time with experience of the full lifecycle of clinical trials, and experience of line management are critical capabilities for this post. Having detailed and up to date knowledge of the regulatory and governance requirements for UK clinical trials is essential.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You should be able to demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain relationships with colleagues at various levels both within your organisation and externally and evidence of being a proactive team player. Having good communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as possessing an excellent range of IT skills (including MS Word, Excel, Access and Project) are also important attributes for this post.
