**Implementation Officer- Fixed Term for 12 months**
The University of Oxford is a stimulating work environment, which enjoys an
international reputation as a world-class centre of excellence. Our research
plays a key role in tackling many global challenges, from reducing our carbon
emissions to developing vaccines during a pandemic.
We have an exciting opportunity to join the IT Services Department in the
Programmes, Projects Delivery Group (PPDG) as an Implementation Officer,
working in a hybrid arrangement with time onsite at University premises as
required to complete the role. The expectation is an average of at least 1 day
in the office per week.
IT Services is a key department that ensures that the University has robust,
reliable and high-performing IT facilities it requires to support the
distinctive needs of those engaged in teaching, learning, research and
administration. We value and recognise our own and the contributions of
others, creating a great culture to work in and a place where we all feel we
belong.
**What We Offer**
As an employer, we genuinely care about our employees’ wellbeing and this is
reflected in the range of benefits that we offer including:
* An excellent contributory pension scheme
* 38 days annual leave
* A comprehensive range of childcare services
* Family leave schemes
* Cycle loan scheme
* Discounted bus travel and Season Ticket travel loans
The University also runs an enormous amount of social groups and sports clubs
for those looking for more than just a great place to work.
**About the Role**
* This is an exciting opportunity for a secondment as an implementation officer supporting the digital transformation programme and other University change initiatives. The role has a variety of responsibilities and involves setting up and managing user groups and then working closely with them to understand their training needs and support requirements through implementation. Follow-on activities include ensuring that post-implementation support arrangements are in place and any user concerns and issues can be captured and resolved and the necessary reports tracking progress are produced.
* This particular secondment will focus on the establishment of the new Competency Centres in the Digital programme. This involves some administration and planning tasks in setting up and hosting events to promote the advantages of the new technologies in the new ways the operational areas can improve. There will be close engagement with the competency experts and the end users and as such this role will be at the forefront of the “art of the possible” and setting up the capability to influence the scope of the change.
* In summary, this is a hugely exciting and developmental role being at the forefront of the change.
**About You**
* To be successful in this interesting and developmental role, you will need to be someone who has both strong administration and planning skills, a high level of motivation to learn and gain new experiences. You will need to have a good understanding of the University’s stakeholder landscape and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills as part of the engagement activities.
* You will not require a deep level of technology knowledge however, you will be comfortable in building a level of understanding across the competency centre areas to be able to discuss their aims. You will require enjoyment in delving into detail to get them set up and running and seeing tasks through to the end.
**Application Process**
You will be required to upload a cover letter/supporting statement, CV and the
details of two referees as part of your online application.
The **closing date** for applications is **12:00 noon** on **Friday 17
November**
Interviews will take place during the week commencing 4 December and ideally
