Applications are invited for the post of Research Assistant in the Oxford
Sustainable Finance Group (OxSFG) within the Smith School of Enterprise and
the Environment. OxSFG is a multidisciplinary research group working to be the
world's best place for research and teaching on sustainable finance and
investment. The OxSFG work with leading practitioners from across the
investment chain, with firms and their management, and with experts from a
wide range of related subject areas (including finance, economics, management,
geography, data science, anthropology, climate science, law, area studies,
psychology) within the University of Oxford and beyond.





The OxSFG is situated within SSEE – part of the School of Geography and the
Environment (SoGE). We intend to significantly increase the reach and impact
over the next five years. You will be personally responsible for rapidly
developing and implementing effective partnerships, focused on but not limited
to capacity building and training, and bringing in funding, and supporting the
next phase of the OxSFG’s and SSEE’s development.





You will contribute across several thematic areas within the OxSFG with a
specialism in finance and financial analysis.





You will hold a first degree and some relevant experience and be working
toward or holding a PhD/DPhil in a specialist discipline. You will possess
sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to develop novel research
projects and methodologies. The successful applicant will have excellent
communication skills, including the ability to write for publication, present
research proposals and results, and represent the research group at meetings.

This is a fixed term part time post (18.75 hours / 50% FTE) post for 12 months
in the first instance.
