The Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) contains world-renowned
population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for
multi-disciplinary research and teaching. Based within NDPH, The China
Kadoorie Biobank (CKB) Study is a uniquely rich and powerful global resource
for investigating the environmental and genetic determinants of common chronic
diseases.
We are looking for a Data Wrangler to support epidemiologists, geneticists,
clinicians and statisticians in analysing data from the CKB. Duties will
include integrating and managing vast amount of complex data, investigating
and resolving data issues, answering questions about data sources and much
more. You will work closely with a multi-discipline team of software
developers, systems testers, epidemiologists, statisticians, clinicians, and
administrative staff to ensure smooth continuation and expansion of the study.
To be considered for the Grade 7 Data Wrangler role, you will need to have a
higher degree in a scientific or numerate subject and have substantial
experience in data analysis. You will also have experience of data management
using large and complex relational databases and experience of writing and
optimizing complex SQL queries.
You will be required to upload a CV and Supporting Statement as part of your

The position is full time (part time considered) and fixed term for 3 years in
