We are looking to appoint a Climate Research Forum (CRF) Coordinator to The
Oxford Sustainable Law Programme (SLP), based in the Smith School of
Enterprise and the Environment (SSEE). The Forum Coordinator will report to
the SLP Director.
The CRF has two overarching aims: 1) facilitate cross-jurisdictional and
cross-disciplinary learning, and 2) address the ‘evidentiary gap’ between the
available frontier of research and the evidence used in courts in climate
litigation cases. Members will share insights from their experience practicing
in different jurisdictions, present best-practice research, and propose
strategic research projects based on identified research gaps.
The CRF Coordinator will be responsible for leading the ongoing strategic
development of the forum, building on existing efforts, and in line with the
agreed objectives and purpose of the forum.
The successful candidate will have possession of a Law degree or deep

climate and/or environmental law. Experience of developing, managing, or

required. It is essential to have proven organisational and project management
skills and be a clear, concise, and careful written and verbal communicator.
The appointment will be available 80% FTE to 100% FTE.
Applications for this vacancy are to be made online. You will be required to
upload a CV and supporting statement as part of your online application.
The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on 09 January 2024, and
