The Oxford Vaccine Group (OVG) is based within the Department of Paediatrics
at the University of Oxford and carries out research of major national and
international importance in the fields of infectious diseases, immunology and
vaccines.
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join our
growing team and take part in the wide range of ongoing paediatric and adult
research activity primarily based in the UK.
The Clinical Research Practitioner will work on vaccine and vaccine-related
studies, providing administrative support, phlebotomy, sample collection and
processing for individuals participating in paediatric and adult trials being
run by OVG under the direction of a clinical research fellow or research
nurse.
Duties will include regular communication with trial participants, conducting
scheduled visits at weekends and outside of normal working hours in the
clinic, home or emergency department setting.
This position is offered full-time on a fixed term contract initially for one
year, with the possibility to extend provided further external funding is
available.
