Postdoctoral Research Associate

Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the post holder will join a dynamic,
productive, and interdisciplinary research group, with responsibility for
carrying out research to study communities of mammalian gut bacteria both in
vitro and in gnotobiotic mice. The overall goal of the project is to
understand how gut bacteria interact, engage in bacterial warfare and the role
of nutrient blocking in making communities stable to invasion. In addition to
research, the post holder will provide guidance to less experienced members of
the research group. A key goal is the application of nutrient blocking
principles to the study of the human microbiome.
