NIHR BRC Oxford Co-ordinator

**About the Role**





We are looking for an Oxford NIHR BRC Co-ordinator to join the TGU research
group at the John Radcliffe Hospital, to be under the overall supervision of
Professor Holm Uhlig. This role will involve having oversight of, and managing
the operation of the delivery of NIHR BioResource projects in Oxford. The
chosen candidate for this role will oversee the recruitment of participants
into the general population arm of the NIHR BioResource; as well as support
recruitment across national BioResource programmes. This role also involves
integrating existing cohorts into the NIHR BioResource and support recruitment
of participants to the NIHR BioResource. Recruitment activities may include
receiving informed consent and collection of samples and data, or oversight of
these recruitment centres.





This post requires initiative and a high level of personal responsibility,
ensuring all documentation, communication and administration is executed in
line with the requirements of the project and its partners.





**About You**





The post holder will liaise with clinical research teams in Oxford to ensure
targets for volunteer recruitment are met under ICH Good Clinical Practice
guidelines, and all ethical and regulatory processes are in place. The role
holder will contribute to strengthening and further developing strategies to
encourage recruitment to the NIHR BioResource Centre in Oxford.



As part of this role, you will be expected deal with BioResource matters and
the dissemination of these to stakeholders and the collection of documentation
to support reporting requirements. You will need to co-ordinate the delivery
of events and public engagement activities in line with the NIHR BioResource
Strategy. You will also need to demonstrate that you have:







* Relevant project management experience in a research, scientific, pharmaceutical or medical environment.


* Experience of working with a variety of colleagues at different levels including senior management and technical colleagues.


* Excellent problem-solving abilities.


* Excellent record keeping skills and an ability to write coherent and concise reports.


* Excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills


* Knowledge and understanding of regulatory issues, specifically with regard to the Human Tissue Act or medical ethics.


* Experience of working to/developing Standard Operating Procedures or other study related controlled documents.






Having experience in recruiting research participants and handling human
tissue and knowledge of University and Trust structures/policies are both
desirable capabilities for this post.
