<p></p><div>We are seeking to appoint a Course Tutor (maternity cover) for the MSc in Genomic Medicine at the Centre for Human Genetics, Nuffield Department of Medicine University of Oxford.</div><br>

<div>This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced scientist with a background in postgraduate teaching to join the MSc in Genomic Medicine teaching team., which focuses on current genomic techniques and their application in clinical, research, and industry settings.</div><br>
<div> </div><br>
<div>The course attracts a diverse cohort of high-calibre students including recent graduates in biological and biomedical sciences, bioinformatics and other disciplines, as well as medical doctors and healthcare professionals who wish to expand their understanding of genomic medicine and its clinical application.</div><br>
<div> </div><br>
<div>You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the course, working closely with the MSc team and module leads, to ensure the course runs smoothly. This will include teaching where appropriate and supporting other sessions, as well as assisting with the development and implementation of new content and processes.</div><br>
<div> </div><br>
<div>You will schedule, record and edit lectures and add teaching material and other content to the course Canvas pages. You will also contribute to marking assessments, collecting student feedback, organising project placements and providing course updates (written and verbal) to the organising committee.  You will be the first contact for student matters relating to attendance, conduct, coursework, performance, and welfare.</div><br>

<div>You must hold a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field such as biological sciences, biomedical science, genetics or genomics-related subject, bioinformatics or computational biology applied to genomics, and you will have post-graduate teaching experience, including developing and delivering in-person and online lectures. For this role, you must have a broad understanding of the current field of genomics and its applications, particularly as they relate to disease research and clinical practice to develop and deliver course content. In addition, you will have an aptitude for teaching and awareness of pedagogic methods, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.</div><br>
