<div><strong>About the role</strong></div><br>
<div>We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the Quality in Organ Donation (QUOD) biobank and Transplant Research Group in the role of Tissue Handling Technician. The postholder will be supporting a busy team of biobank coordinators and managers, senior researchers, as well as technical and research assistants.</div><br>

<div>You will be based in the NHSBT Blood Donor Centre at the John Radcliffe Hospital as your normal place of work.</div><br>
<div> </div><br>
<div>You will be working closely with members of the transplant community within the NHS and University of Oxford and will be responsible for various tasks including tissue processing and embedding, microtomy and histological staining, biobanking activities and lab based experimental research techniques. There will be the opportunity to be involved in research projects within the Transplant Research Group, which has an internationally renowned reputation.</div><br>

<div><strong>About you</strong></div><br>
<div>The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a science related subject. You will have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with the ability to prioritise your own workload. Extensive experience in tissue handling and histological techniques in a clinical or research laboratory is essential. You must be willing to work with human and animal samples.</div><br>

<div>This full-time post is available immediately and is fixed-term until 31st March 2025 in the first instance. We would be willing to consider applications for part-time hours.</div><br>
