**About the Role**
The Blavatnik School of Government is looking for a talented Postdoctoral
Research Fellow to join the Oxford COVID-19 Government Response Tracker
(OxCGRT) project team. This is an exciting role at the centre of a globally
important project.
Reporting to the Principal Investigator, you will be an independent researcher
with the willingness and ability to undertake research on policy responses to
COVID-19 and related themes.
You will be expected to develop ideas for new avenues of investigation,
contribute novel analysis of pandemic response, and oversee projects within
the OxCGRT. You will also be expected to develop your own related research
work as part of a burgeoning academic career in a related field.
**About You**
You should hold, or be nearing completion of, a relevant PhD/DPhil in fields
like political science, economics, or public health. You will demonstrate a
track record of exceptional international publications and possess a knack for
initiating innovative projects with sound judgement. Proficiency in
quantitative data analysis tools (e.g., Stata, R, MATLAB, or Python) and
applied research impacting public policy is essential.
Moreover, a genuine interest in COVID-19's impact, critical thinking on
pandemic policies, excellent communication skills for remote teamwork, and a
collaborative, adaptable nature are key attributes required in this role.
