Applications are invited for the post of Part-Time (50% FTE) Oxford Climate
Research Network (OCRN) Policy and Comms Officer.
Location: Department of Physics, Atmospheric, Oceanic and Planetary Physics
The post is available initially for a fixed-term duration of 12 months, with
the possibility of extension.
The Oxford Climate Research Network (OCRN, www.climate.ox.ac.uk) is a network
of all climate researchers at the University of Oxford.
It currently includes about 200 researchers ranging from DPhil students to
postdoctoral researchers and academics working in 26 departments, schools and
institutes across the University.
The largest numbers are in Physics, Mathematics, Earth Sciences and Geography,
and there is increasing engagement of researchers beyond the physical
sciences.
The goal of the network is to raise the impact, effectiveness and profile of
climate research at the University of Oxford, by acting as an internal hub as
well as a coordinated point of contact and information for those beyond
Oxford. The OCRN has a Coordinator (50% FTE) who develops and administers
initiatives which maintain, strengthen and promote the network. We now seek a
Policy and Comms Officer (50% FTE) to work on a range of outward facing
initiatives and ensure maximum impact and uptake of Oxford climate research.
