We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the University of Oxford as an
Apprentice IT Support Officer in the Department of Engineering Science.
The Department of Engineering Science delivers world-class teaching and
research. It is able to do this as it’s academics, research staff and support
staff work together on developing the department in a flexible and productive
partnership.
The Engineering Science IT team (IT@Eng) are vital to the success of the
department. We provide computing and network support, management of IT
equipment and software, and help academic, student, and administrative users.
**About the apprenticeship**
As part of this role, you will be required to complete a 18-month training
programme delivered by Digital Native that will cover all aspects of the role
and will be delivered through frequent remote sessions with lots of distance
learning activities in between sessions. Day release will be required for the
End Point Assessment, gateway preparation and assessment activities.

**About you**
You will be passionate about starting your career in IT and excited about the
opportunity of becoming an apprentice at the University of Oxford. You may be
starting your career or you may be looking for a career change with an
interest in accounting and finance.
To complete the level 3 apprenticeship you will need to evidence passes at 9-4
or A*-C in GCSE Maths and English. Please note that applicants will be
required to complete English and maths assessments as part of the application
process, regardless of current grade.
There are also government residency requirements for Apprenticeship funding
which the Training Provider will be able to advise on.
