This role has a hybrid working arrangement with time onsite at University premises as required to complete the role, with an expectation of at least 2 days in the office per week.</div><br>

<div><strong>About the Role</strong></div><br>
<ul><br>
<li>This Project Communications Officer role will provide communications support for a range of projects and programmes within one of the five portfolios through which IT Services deliver digital changes across the University. Current programmes the role may be assigned to include those improving digital services for teaching and learning, supporting cyber security, or modernising core technology infrastructure.</li><br>
<li>It will involve working closely with individual project and programme delivery teams, as well as other central communications teams delivering communications to staff and students.</li><br>
<li>The role will involve understanding the technical changes that are being delivered and developing a coordinated communications strategy to support the journey. Communications will be delivered to staff and students in an appropriate and timely manner either by the Project Communications Officer or through line management of a Project Communications Assistant. The role will also involve working closely with Business Change Managers to carry out stakeholder analysis and understand the benefits to end users.</li><br>
<li>This is a role which offers significant personal development at an exciting time for the University with the significant level of planned development work and Digital Transformation programme in progress.</li><br>

<div><strong>About You</strong></div><br>
<ul><br>
<li>To be successful in this varied and interesting role, you will need to be someone who has a good knowledge of communications techniques and the skill and instinct to differentiate your communications depending on audience and channel.</li><br>
<li>You will be willing to grapple with the complexities and different ways of working within the devolved structure of the collegiate University. You will be adept at working with people at different levels within this context and be confident at proposing the most appropriate communications approach for each initiative.</li><br>
<li>You will have a collaborative approach to your work and a positive outlook as well as a desire to deliver real improvements in a global and highly regarded world class organisation.</li><br>
