We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated IT Support Officer to
join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a thriving

The expansion of our Department and the increasing workload of our Information
Technology Office have created the need for a talented IT Support Officer like
you.





This is a full-time position, available on a permanent contract.





**About the role**



As our IT Support Officer, you'll be the first point of contact for staff,
tutors and students, providing essential support and advice on IT matters.
Your primary duties will include:



- Offering first-line IT support for PC and Mac devices, including troubleshooting SSO and MFA issues.



- Handling activation code requests and resolving IT issues both in person and remotely.



- Investigating telephone and wireless network issues and performing network cabling and patching as required.



- Managing equipment procurement and maintenance, including hardware/software installation and printer maintenance.



- Ensuring compliance with legislative and University cybersecurity and data protection policies.



You'll have the chance to work alongside experienced professionals and gain
exposure to a wide array of tasks, technologies and systems. This role offers
ample scope for training and professional development, allowing you to enhance
your skills and grow in your career.





**About you**



You will have prior IT support experience in a university or business
environment. You will have excellent personal skills, the ability to work well
under pressure, and a good sense of humour and patience. Strong attention to
detail and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows 10 are
also essential requirements of the role, together with experience with
laptop/desktop installation, configuration, and printer maintenance.
