<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div><strong>About the role</strong></div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The Carvalho Lab is recruiting postdoctoral researchers to investigate the mechanisms of protein degradation using cell biology, biochemistry and structural biology approaches. &#160;You will join a diverse group of researchers working on several aspects of organelle biology at the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, University of Oxford (UK).</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The main goals of these 2-year positions are: 1) to uncover how membrane proteins are degraded by a process called ERAD; 2) to reveal how ERAD of specific substrates regulates diverse physiological processes such as nuclear envelope dynamics, lipid homeostasis or antigen presentation.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You will be a self-motivated and enthusiastic scientist with a PhD (or be close to completion of PhD) in a relevant field, with a strong background in cell biology, biochemistry or structural biology.
