<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div>An exciting opportunity is available to join our team developing the next generation of space-based instruments and components for a range of missions with a wide range of international partners.&#160;</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The post is offered as a permanent position and includes line management responsibilities and coordination of the work of a growing team of scientists and engineers.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The Department of Physics is a key collaborator in many international programmes and projects to develop novel and cutting-edge instrumentation and other outputs and we require a high level, professional, programme and project management to support our academic mission. Working closely with a portfolio of external programme collaborators (including NASA, ESA, UKSA), the post holder will be responsible for delivering the strategic and operational lead on the department&#8217;s large scale technical projects and will work with many academic and technical services stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and success.&#160;</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Applicants should possess a degree and experience of project and financial management in a complex organisation and with external stakeholders.&#160; Previous experience of Systems Engineering would be an advantage.&#160; Candidates are expected to demonstrate the ability to liaise effectively with wide range of people within and beyond the University, including academic staff, industrial collaborators, funding agencies and all grades of technical, administrative and support staff.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Please direct informal inquiries about the role to Dr Neil Bowles (Neil.Bowles@physics.ox.ac.uk)</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Only applications received before midday on 12 July 2024 can be considered.&#160;</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You will be required to upload a supporting statement, CV and details of two referees as part of your online application.</div> </div>
