Fixed-term contract for three years, full time





The Oxford University Centre for Corporate Reputation is a leading research
hub at the University of Oxford, dedicated to exploring how organisations
manage social evaluations such as reputation, status, celebrity, legitimacy,
stigma and trust. Our research focuses on aligning challenges and practice
challenges, addressing critical themes related to organisational orientation
and the adoption of business activities. As a Research Fellow, you will work
closely with Professor Eero Vaara, concentrating on legitimacy and
legitimation in a post-truth, mediatised society. This role involves leading
theoretical and empirical research projects, with an emphasis on ethnographic
and discursive methodologies.





Key responsibilities:





* Conduct high-quality academic research under the guidance of Professor Eero Vaara, aiming for publication in premier peer-reviewed journals.


* Engage in data collection, qualitative data analysis, academic writing and presenting research findings.


* Manage day-to-day research project tasks effectively.


* Actively participate in the Centre’s activities, including conferences, seminars and industry partner meetings.


* Bring your own research ideas and projects into the role and collaborate on new projects with Oxford Saïd’s faculty and the Centre.




You will hold or be near completing a Doctoral degree in a relevant analytical
discipline such as Economics or Management, and be fluent in English and
Spanish. You should have experience with case studies and ethnographic
research, an interest in discursive or communicative perspectives, and the
ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Excellent oral and
written communication skills are essential, along with a proven track record
of publishing in top social science journals.
