<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div>We are looking to appoint a research assistant join the multi-disciplinary team supporting Trials Delivery Framework within Dementias Platform UK (&#160;<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.dementiasplatform.uk/">https://www.dementiasplatform.uk/</a> ) with the delivery of the READ-OUT Programme.&#160;&#160; &#160;&#160;The READ-OUT Programme is a &#163;4.5m project aimed at establishing the utility of blood biomarkers of dementia in the care of people with cognitive disorders.&#160;&#160; The post is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.&#160;&#160;</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The post is for a fixed term (funded to 31 March 2027 with the possibility of extension)</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The University has introduced a pensionable Oxford University Weighting of &#163;1,500 a year (pro rata) for all staff on grades 1&#8211;10 of the main salary and grading structure which will be implemented in the September 2024 payroll.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You will be instrumental in the development, of the READ-OUT Programme of work, managing trial site communications including liaising with potential research participants, study and trial researchers.&#160;&#160; You will assist in delivery of the READ-OUT studies, booking and processing and scheduling participant visits, providing assistance to participants at study visits, and carrying home visits.&#160;&#160;</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You will have an undergraduate degree in Psychology (2:1 or higher along with a strong interest in cognitive neuroscience or clinical psychology.&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; With an understanding of clinical trials and research participant interaction you will be able to work with patients and older participants.&#160;&#160; A research background in dementia, neurodegeneration, or neuroscience would be desirable as would an understanding of the delivery of complex research grant projects.&#160;&#160;&#160;</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You will be required to upload a covering letter/supporting statement and a CV as part of your application.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The closing date for this post is 12.00 midday on 19th August.&#160;&#160; Interviews will be held during weeks commencing 9th /16th September</div> </div>
