**About the role**



We are seeking a researcher with a background in bioacoustic research and
interest in ecological research in human-modified tropical landscapes.
Experience in tropical bat research is required.





The goal is to use bioacoustic technology, and ecological modelling to
describe changes in bat and bird assemblages in relation to livestock-
associated environmental filtering, along intensive-extensive production
gradients in the Amazon, Cerrado, and Atlantic rainforest biomes. This project
will be integrated in an interdisciplinary assessment of the consequences of
livestock production under contrasting high- vs low-yield production systems
and thus will aid in tailoring livestock producing practices that contribute
to the sustainability of food production, the development of One Health
strategies, and the conservation of biodiversity-rich tropical ecosystems.





Your main activities will involve implementing and managing academic research
activities, including coordinating multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines
and desired goals. This will involve designing, overseeing, and conducting
bioacoustic analyses, working with a wide range of researchers from different
disciplines, stakeholders and project partners.





**About you**





You will also support team members in their activities, contribute to
knowledge exchange activities and prepare manuscripts for submission to peer
reviewed journals. You will have a proven capacity to produce excellent
research and you will be expected to collaborate on initiatives to further
cross-disciplinary research.
